Personal films & travel videos in Phu Quoc

Keep the movement, the small gestures and the feeling of being here. A personal film for solo travellers, couples, families or friends, planned around your time together and the way you want to watch and share it.

Your experience

Clear planning makes room for a natural film.

A collection of phone clips can hold good memories without feeling like a finished story. You may want to be in the film together, feel more comfortable on camera or bring a few favourite moments into one considered edit—not spend your holiday directing a production.

Begin with the feeling you want to keep, then decide what needs to be filmed. A manageable route, simple direction and an agreed edit can turn time on the island into a personal keepsake, with sound, pace and format considered from the start.

Outcomes we plan for

A personal story, made to be watched again.

01

A film with a personal focus

A clear idea of the people, moments and atmosphere you want to remember, without treating every location as a required stop.

02

A manageable filming experience

Simple direction, a realistic route and a sound plan matched to your comfort, time and priorities.

03

An edit made for its intended use

Agreed versions, formats and sharing arrangements, so you know what will be delivered and what needs a separate request.

01 / Planning your film

Start with the film you want to watch

A travel keepsake, a couple’s film and a short video for your personal social account have different rhythms. Tell us who will be in it, which moments matter and whether you imagine a quiet portrait, a playful sequence or a record of time together. References help explain mood and pacing; they are a starting point for your own film, not a promise to reproduce someone else’s work.

Agree the number of finished edits, intended duration, viewing platforms and vertical or horizontal formats before filming. A second aspect ratio may need different framing, not just a crop. Personal Video is a planned personal session, distinct from a photo session or filming a wedding or private event. Start with the relevant occasion’s brief and request video explicitly, even for a short highlight film. Advertising, sponsored posts and work for a business belong in a separately scoped commercial brief.

02 / Planning your film

You do not need to perform for the whole session

Share how comfortable you feel being filmed and whether you prefer gentle direction, natural interaction or speaking to camera. Walking, pausing and small actions can build a sequence without a complicated performance. Some movements may be repeated for a different angle, so choose clothing and activities you can manage comfortably. We discuss the priorities rather than promising every spontaneous moment.

Tell us early if a message, conversation or environmental sound is important to the finished film. Wind, surf, nearby music and crowds affect recording; an audible conversation needs its own sound plan. Microphones, voice-over, interviews or additional crew must be included in the agreed scope when needed. For children, plan around breaks and their willingness to participate, with a parent or agreed adult responsible for supervision.

When choosing a setting, compare light, access and shooting conditions in Grand World Phu Quoc: a day-to-night photography guide or Sunset Town and Kiss Bridge: a photography and filming guide. Confirm your itinerary and access arrangements before booking.

03 / Planning your film

Give each location a reason to be in the story

Choose a few connected settings rather than a long checklist of landmarks. Share your accommodation, preferred area, travel dates and any walking or access needs. Travel, setup, outfit changes and rest all take time within the agreed plan. Check changing arrangements and a place for belongings, and keep outfits practical for the activity. Venue bookings, transport, boats, props and styling are not automatic inclusions.

Confirm who will arrange permission for the chosen locations, activities and people involved. Public activity may change where we can work, and a reference photograph does not prove that filming equipment or an outside crew is allowed. Aerial filming is a separate request, subject to permission, conditions and feasibility. We cannot promise exclusive access, an empty location or a particular drone shot simply because it appears in a reference.

04 / Planning your film

Leave room for island conditions and changing plans

Discuss a simpler route, a suitable sheltered setting or another available time before the session. Rain, wind, sea conditions and changing light can affect both pictures and sound. An alternative needs to fit the people, access and story, not merely look dry on a map. We do not proceed with unsafe or prohibited activities, and a particular sunset or calm sea cannot be guaranteed.

Contact us promptly if your travel plans change, you are delayed or you need to cancel. Ask for written confirmation of any revised arrangement. Rescheduling depends on availability and the booking terms; extra time or supplier costs must be agreed, not assumed. A cloudy forecast is not automatically a cancellation or refund. The original finish time may still apply when a session starts late.

05 / Planning your film

Shape the rhythm, sound and feedback before the edit

The edit brings selected scenes together through sequence, pacing, colour and sound. Agree the creative direction, music approach, captions or on-screen text, language versions and any required clean version before filming. A favourite song is a request, not proof of permission: music must be suitable for the agreed use. A track available inside one platform does not automatically cover an exported film shared elsewhere.

Confirm how a review version is shared, who collects feedback and which revision rounds or changes are included. Send consolidated notes, with time references where helpful. Refining a title or an agreed sequence is different from changing the concept, adding another version or requesting a reshoot. Those changes may affect scope, cost and delivery. No number of revisions, immediate teaser or fixed turnaround is assumed on this page.

06 / Planning your film

Receive a finished film with clear sharing arrangements

The written booking should name the edited films and versions, duration or agreed range, aspect ratios, file format, resolution, delivery method and expected dates. Filming time and final running time are different things. Raw footage, unused takes, editable project files, still photographs and extra exports are separate requests, not automatic additions. Download and back up the final files within the stated access window; permanent hosting is not promised.

Agree private viewing, personal sharing and any other intended use before confirmation. Booking is not permission for us to publish identifiable customer footage; portfolio use is a separate choice, including appropriate guardian permission for children. Tell us about anyone who should not be filmed. Supplying a film to a hotel, sponsor or other business for promotion needs separate clearance. We cannot guarantee views, reach or that a platform will never mute or restrict an upload.

Before we begin

A few useful answers.

Who is Personal Video for?

Solo travellers, couples, families and friends who want an edited film from a planned personal or travel session in Phu Quoc. A film of a wedding or private event belongs with that occasion’s brief, even if the finished edit is short. Business campaigns and sponsored content need a commercial brief. Tell us the purpose and intended users before booking.

Can we have both vertical and horizontal versions, or photographs too?

Request each version and any photography before confirmation. Different formats may require separate framing or additional crew, and a frame taken from video is not the same deliverable as a planned photo session. The agreement should identify exactly which films, formats and photographs are included.

Do we need to know how to act or speak on camera?

No acting experience is needed. Tell us your comfort level and preferred approach so direction can be kept simple. If you want to speak, record a message or include a conversation, mention it in the brief: clear speech needs planning for sound and location, not just a camera pointed at you.

Can you use our favourite song and add captions?

Share your preferences before booking. Music needs suitable permission for the finished film and its intended use; a platform’s music library does not automatically cover every export or channel. Agree captions, on-screen text, languages and any version without music as part of the edit scope.

Are drone shots, transport and activities included?

Not automatically. Aerial filming requires separate feasibility and permission checks. Transport, boat trips, entry, activities, props and styling need named responsibilities and agreed costs. An image or reference clip does not promise that its location, equipment or activity is available for your booking.

What happens in bad weather, or if we change our plans?

Discuss a sheltered setting, revised route or another available time. Safety and access come first. Changes, cancellations and the treatment of payments follow the written terms; a replacement date or particular light is not guaranteed. Contact us promptly and obtain written confirmation rather than assuming a forecast or travel change cancels the booking.

How long is the film, when will it arrive, and can we request changes?

The booking defines finished duration or range, number of edits, delivery dates and included feedback rounds. These differ from filming time. Extra versions, a new concept, reshoots, raw footage or project files are not assumed to be included. Any effect of your selections, approvals or payment milestones on delivery should be explained before confirmation.

Can the film stay private, and may we share it online?

Agree the intended personal sharing and any privacy requirements before filming. Permission for our portfolio or public channels is separate from booking; children’s identifiable footage needs appropriate guardian involvement. Business promotion or sponsored use needs separate clearance. Keep your own downloaded backup, and do not assume music permission or unrestricted uploads on every platform.
